In 11th hour of session FL House is trying to force the trans youth sports ban to the floor of the Senate. Through amendment to charter school bill SB 1028. This is a train. A pile on of dead bills they are bringing back to life... #flapol

@FentriceForFL points towards the language allowing anti-trans students to sue schools for allowing trans girls to play. Schools still threatened if they don’t police the privates of athletes. @Fla_Pol
@FentriceForFL in questions to Rep Tuck on the trans sports ban amendment now on the House floor. Under this amendment, an anti-trans student can sue a school two years after graduating if they let a trans girl play. @Fla_Pol
@micheleforfl and @CarlosGSmith tag team to force @KayleeTuck2 to admit even updated birth certificates of trans youth will be inadmissible. Tuck began debate saying birth certificates were path to playing. There is no path. All trans girls are categorically banned. @Fla_Pol
@Arrington4Fl is up. Arrington and aide @Eleanor_McD have been loudest critiques of the “dispute” process in trans sports ban. No substantive answer from Tuck on how a challenge to a students gender will be resolved. Translation: FL House supports policing privates @Fla_Pol
@repcbenjamin reminds the House that federal courts have ruled against trans sports bans. The trans sports amendment forced by Sprowls into SB 1028 is illegal and a violation of title IX.

In a stunning flex Speaker Sprowls skips Dem amendments to trans sports ban amendment and forces a vote. The trans sports ban has now been added to SB 1028 and will be sent back to the FL Senate.
