To the non Disabled folks claiming to be inspired by Crip Camp..

What are you inspired to actually do?

Disabled ppl are still subjugated to higher rates of abuse.

Public transit is *still* inaccessible.

Due to education being ableist af. Only 19% of students are Disabled

Only 17% of us manage to find employment.

Marriage equality is still a thing. Many of us risk losing healthcare when we marry.

And if we do get married we are solely dependent on our partners.

So again. What are you inspired to do?

"We are 20% of the population, and we are only 2% of the images you see on American television, and of those 2%, 95% are played by nondisabled actors."

Oh not mention that we are in the middle of a pandemic that has killed a huge chunk of our community but it’s been acceptable bc we are seen as collateral damage for the “economy” bc of our “underlying medical conditions”

So again.

Are you inspired to actually do anything for us or just happy you don’t have to be us?
