I just think it was a genius move by Yoongi to adopt a well crafted, larger-than-life alter-ego to release his work under. It allows him so much freedom to play with and dissect his self-image thematically while giving him the space to make whatever music he wants independently

It was a really forward-thinking idea for his career, like it protects him in a way to be as creatively distinct as he wishes from his other works as a bts member or a collaborative producer making GP-winning hits like Eight and Wine. Just smart.

And how he began crafting this alias as early as 2014 if not before shouting out 'a.k.a AGUST D' on Dark and Wild before he released anything under that name, he knew he wanted that extra avenue as an artist from the early days, that is so hot

And this is why this man so much fun to watch as a creator bc it's clear he moves deliberately and passionately in all his choices, just...damn
