i personally can't point to one thing it's made better. https://twitter.com/bigggtrev/status/1387475959314477059

how many of those games have been *good*? https://twitter.com/AnAdamBlack/status/1387478722408849413
i've been arguing with you guys about college football playoffs for years. i've heard every single one of these arguments you haven't actually thought about but still wanna bring to me like it's the big domino. you don't have to do that, i promise.
bottom line is, college football on the whole didn't get better because of the playoff. cuz whatever we call a championship will be a big game. the playoff actually cut into one of college football's greatest charms: the incredibly narrow margin for error.
truth is, college football is best consumed as a regional game. worrying too much about nationalizing it misses the point of the whole thing. you'll get a "true champion." like that matters for anything.
better question: of all the times to worry about what anyone "deserves" from college football, you pick a postseason tournament? THAT is where you wanna talk about what anyone deserves? AND you want the kids to play the games for free? https://twitter.com/Dmoney32578/status/1387479724688039939
no, cuz i can't think of a time in my life where three teams were recruiting on a totally different level than everyone else. what's interesting, though, is clemson is *not* one of those three teams. which is why i have no sympathy for the rest. https://twitter.com/doxsideviews/status/1387480063252340740

you're limiting the discussion to the playoff itself and not how it affects the rest of the season. which is most of what matters and has been hurt by the playoff. https://twitter.com/CoachesHotSeat/status/1387492659355262980
