mayhaps some folks should recognize if they're going off actual canon script or off their fanon ~potential and check themselves. just a recommendation

there's a difference between shipping something abusive versus claiming the abuse never happened. just recognise that you're not erasing canonical abuse and recreating a character in your head who is fundamentally different in canon ie an abuser and not the hero he's in your mind
