It’s been 10 year since I got an iPhone/started taking photos of myself on the regular, so now I can just go back 10 years and see what photos were taken on this day in 2011. And it’s really scary!
I read something about how it negatively impacts our self image to be able to access photos of our younger selves at the touch of a button, and for me that’s true. I’ve been conditioned to think that my teens/20s were the prime of my life and it’s all downhill from there.
I also spend a lot of time regretting things I did in the past ten years, which is a pointless exercise that serves only to upset me, since I don’t take any lessons from it, just endless self-loathing
If anyone has gotten past this then please tell me how. Also as a reward for reading this thread here is a picture of me on May 5, 2011 (closest I could find to today’s date)
