@HHSGov @USDOL @USTreasury will be instrumental in creating the rules & regs for implementing the #NoSurprisesAct . Insurers already have significant advantage over small, independent practices and the wrong regs could result in decreased access to emergency care.

It's important that these rules/regs do not further tip the scales in favor of Health insurers, a heavy bias that's already built into our healthcare system. The QPA and IDR process must be fair and the arbiter should use claims from a non-biased 3rd party (e.g. FairHealth).

Patients must be protected not only from #SurpriseBilling but also from surreptitious efforts by insurers to further deny access to and coverage for necessary emergency and routine medical treatments.
