Epilepsy is a condition that effects the part of the brain that controls movement, having epilepsy usually means that this part of the brain sends to many signals for movement resulting in seizures. However epilepsy is different for everyone and there are many types of seizures.
The most known type of epileptic seizure and known as "tonic clonic seizures" , these result in the individual collapsing and shaking, these however are not the only type of seizures epileptic people can have. Epileptic people can suffer from many ++
different seizures but I personally suffer from a few different types of seizures
-tonic clonic seizures
-myroclonic seizures
-absent seizures
-faints

All of these look different and do not all involve collapsing or shaking but they are seizures!
Myroclonic Seziures involve the person jerking a part of their body (often the head or arms). This can make them drop things and they can be mistaken for tics.
Absent Seizures involve a person staring into space for an extended period of time (often over 2 minutes). It is not possible to get a response from someone during an absent seizure you just need to wait for the person to come out of it.
Faints are rare but they are a more severe type of tonic clonic seizure in which the persons heart can stop for a few seconds.
Thank you for reading this thread! I hope you learnt something and if you have any questions please feel free to ask away! <3
