. @DCGov_ABRA released its updated regulations to implement the new Mayor’s order for the relatively light reduced restrictions for bars and restaurants. Some highlights for bars and restaurants that may not have been clear based on Monday’s press conference:

Restaurants/bars that are already authorized to have entertainment can as of Saturday have indoor (til midnight) or outdoor (til 10p) entertainment such as:

Live music
DJs
Comedy shows
Poetry readings
Trivia

Rules:
Performers have to stay 6 feet apart from each other.
Max 5 performers at a time indoors, 10 outdoors
Performers must wear masks unless hinders performance (like a singer or instrument plays through mouth)
12 feet buffer bt performers and patrons if masked, 18 ft others 3/
Music can’t be played so loud that it can be heard in residential zoned homes 4/
Any music or sound effects can’t be played so loudly that people will speak more loudly than a conversational level 5/
Musicians and entertainers can’t play in parklets or in the street otherwise 6/
Patrons still have to be seated, no dance floors 7/
Dancing, playing darts, arcade games, bowling, ping pong, pool, throwing axes, and other activities that require standing or cluster with others are still not allowed 8/
Places that have a settlement agreement that restrict outdoor live music or entertainment can get the ANC or other party to waive the agreement. 9/
