LA’s largest tiny-home village opened this week in a North Hollywood park. I got a tour and talked to architects and service providers.
I also talked to people who have been living in the park and worried they would be kicked out when the facility opened https://www.curbed.com/2021/04/tiny-home-village-homeless-los-angeles.html">https://www.curbed.com/2021/04/t...

Just six days before the village opened, LAPD, Rec & Parks, Sanitation, & Caltrans showed up to sweep the park. Many folks living there, some who were on the list for the tiny homes, took off to avoid conflict.

The sweep was two days before a series of events and tours, including a ribbon cutting with the mayor (and Tim Allen for some reason).
@reporterliz covered the ribbon cutting and pressed city officials about what would happen to folks living in the park https://www.dailynews.com/2021/04/22/north-hollywood-tiny-homes-community-nears-opening-activists-protest-at-ceremony/">https://www.dailynews.com/2021/04/2...
