AZ just passed a bill banning abortions for fetal indications, and confers embryos and fetuses civil rights as long as they are inside a uterus (but not if they are created/destroyed in a lab setting, eg during in vitro fertilization). 2/ http://t.ly/o51R
OK just passed 3 anti-abortion laws, including a ban after fetal cardiac activity is detected, revoking medical licenses for physicians who perform abortions, and that only OBGYNs may perform abortions. 3/ http://t.ly/WjsK
AR recently passed a requirement that people seeking abortion call a hotline for information on alternatives to abortion prior to receiving care. 4/ http://t.ly/V3On
So, @POTUS, when are you going to push for the passage of the #WHPA (Women's Health Protection Act)? Pregnant people need federal protection for their right to abortion NOW. 5/ http://t.ly/WIhs
Folks, abortion is safe. So many laws have been written in the name of "protecting women" that the Nat'l Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine wrote a whole report, demonstrating the safety of abortion care in the US over and over again. 6/ http://t.ly/J6Ku
