The Japanese box set for Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World is out, and I can confirm that the side flaps have little Ashas on them. This is highly pertinent.
The artbook is decent, but it& #39;s all art from the remake and not the original. But if you& #39;re after stuff from that 1994 game...
...there& #39;s a vintage comic by original artist @maki_ohzora! It& #39;s more like a mini-artbook instead of a full manga, and like all things Monster World IV, it& #39;s adorable.
Here& #39;s a nice detail: the front side of the box has the queen in her regular incarnation, but on the rear side obscured by the flap of the box, where you wouldn& #39;t normally think to look, there& #39;s a mild spoiler.
There& #39;s no manual, but I like how the genie is holding the cartridge.
Is this box set worth it? Well, it& #39;s just two books and a box, but it& #39;s also just the price of a new triple-A game. I& #39;m a huge Monster World IV fan--it& #39;d probably rank among my top ten favorite games--so that& #39;s an easy choice for me.
