Sitting on the selection committee for the Ontario Poet Laureate these past months has been an incredible experience. One which felt entirely humbling and invigorating - a process my father would have been honoured to have taken a part in. He was there, in essence.

Randell Adjei is a man of pure intent, fierce benevolence, and potent artistry. I trust wholeheartedly that Randell will do everything in his power to meet the requirements set before a Poet Laureate, and more. He has a fire behind him. The fire of passion of purpose.
