We need to be more understanding of people who say they no longer go to church or they can't find a good one. Hear me out...

People have been through the worse things in places that should‘ve been their safe space.

“It is humanity that hurt you, not God” yes,
but when you walk into a church, you don't see God Almighty sitting on his throne, it's human ushers and worship leaders so we have to do more than sprinkle the quoted statement on the TL.

There's the argument of it's not always the fault of the church but the people who leave
Let's look at the church.

There's an inherent drive to always defend your fav Pastor and church family but the truth is, the people who you love and admire are capable of hurting others with or without intent.
even serial killers have people whom they love (extreme comparison, I know, but don’t bite me 😬)

“What if these people are lying against the church?”

Well, it's a broad discussion and I can't capture every angle at once, but you can do a thread on that and I’ll retweet it đŸ‘đŸœ
Can it be the fault of the one who left? Emphatically, yes.

From an intolerant attitude to spiritual immaturity to the fact that people are just different and won't like the same things.

I’ve seen a person leave church for an issue that could be resolved with 5 mins of prayer
So what's your attitude when someone leaves your church?

The right one is to pray them into an amazing church. You can't be settled knowing they no longer want fellowship with any group of believers.
“I’m not surprised. If they were truly after God, they won't sit at home but find another church”

Now that you've found that out, isn't it a bigger problem that should cause you to pray? why exactly are you kikiki-ing in your heart and throwing judgemental looks and subtweets?
(If anyone throws a ‘this you?’ I’ll cry 😂)

Let love guide your heart. Remember, body of Christ before denomination
