True.

Risk of a side effect from the vaccine?

0.001%.

So hundred times less.

So what is the excuse for not taking the vaccine? The math is clear. https://twitter.com/JimDeMint/status/1387376089543192581
And this is only the PERSONAL risk.

The risk to others is potentially greater. Especially if you have people in your circles that are at higher risk.
The societal cost is real too.

Until we get to herd immunity, lot of people are going to be reticent to going back to normal.

Its harder to get to herd immunity if the young (who still are part of the population!) don't get vaccinated.
In short, there is:

1. Almost no cost to taking the vaccine.
2. Significant upside for the individual.
3. Even a greater upside for society.

Not sure where the calculation exists to argue against the vaccine in this setting.
And I thought I made this clear, but someone commented on it:

The only risk from COVID is not DEATH.

There are risk for long term complications, especially pulmonary, but vascular. And who knows what else.

The risk from COVID is not only dying.
One other point, while I am at it:

Variants (mutations) can OCCUR IN YOUNG PEOPLE TOO.

Anyone getting infected is at risk of creating/carrying a mutation in COVID.

The vaccine thus stops the creation and spread of more mutations, and other dangerous variants.
Again, all of this is why I think @joerogan was mistaken.

But we can have the discussion, and educate. I hope @JimDeMint will take my comments into consideration.
