Tonight let's taste test 7E x Pablo JP selection speciaaaal! Apricot Jelly and Cheese Cream Puff and a Apricot Jelly and cheese cream roll cake.

It was $3.30 each but there was an offer going on at the 7E I went so it was $6 in total.

Oh my goodness. Ok. I kind of flipped the roll cake around while going home since it was in a bag so ignore the smooshed jam. It was supposed to cover the whole cream cheese part in the middle.

HNGGgHH. I will give you my thoughts on this roll cake by 7E x Pablo

UGNHH. The cream cheese, so smooth and rich. The apricot jam cuts through with its sweetness so it doesn't taste cloying or as you say... ~Jelak~. How dare you. The exterior is a soft roll. None of that budget cake texture. This is not a swiss roll, this is a roll cake.

It isn't heavy. But not too light either. Just a medium. But WHY. Why are you a special item. I took the last one at 7E when the students were hanging around, buying snacks. I know. I know your classmates bought the others. Shhh. You are young. You do not need this. Have bbt.

THIS is a cake roll one should stash away in a picnic box or a bento and then go, "IYAHHH, I have made you a cake roll. Please, senpai eat it" but secretly you just bought it from 7E and repackaged it.

"Ahh... Senpai, you have a bit of cream on your face" you say. They try to clean it. You lean in instead... your lips parting.

AND NOW LET'S TRY THE CREAMPUFF.

EEEeeH?? I thought to myself as I bit into this apricot jam and cream cheese creampuff.

EHHH??? I WONDER. Because as you can see, it is just cream but. The apricot permeates through it?! Did they put the jelly in the puff or did they infuse the cream cheese with apricot?

I peeled the top. It really is the apricot jelly, a thin layer over the cream. AaAaAaAh. Iyaaa.

I found you. This cream puff was squished by my other items in my bag. But it didn't detract itself from the taste. Just. Ah. I flattened it.

MY CONCLUSION:

Both are great.

But the roll cake gives me more JP vibes cause it's more durable in transport so you can present it how it is supposed to look like. For both, beware if you are lactose tolerant, it's RICH in its cream.
