Cardi's business filed a trademark application a few weeks ago for BARDI BEAUTY.
First of all, how do I know Cardi's business? Because I can see pending trademark applications at http://uspto.gov .

Cardi's company is planning to start a line of cosmetics, fragrances, hair products & nail polish.
How I know? The trademark records show me.
That "IC 003" tells me what legal category the trademark is in, and the words describe what they plan to do w/in the category.

“IC” = international class. These classify either goods (products) or services into certain legal categories.

The trademark classes are important b/c when you file your application, you only get approved in the specific categories you include and pay for.
A trademark registration does NOT allow you keep any and everybody from using the words for any and every purpose.

I beg of you, stop getting up in arms every time you hear about a celebrity or company *trademarking* things like THE, OKURR, or TACO TUESDAY. That’s not how any of this works. 
Okay so boom. Point #2. You have to show the @uspto that you’re actually USING your trademark to sell or offer for sale your goods or services.
The one exception is when you’re not quiiiite ready but you have an INTENT TO USE the trademark in the near future.

Cardi B filed an intent to use (ITU) application. You can tell bc the filing basis is 1B, which = intent to use.
She hasn’t launched BARDI BEAUTY but is getting ready.
THIS IS THE MOVE. Before you go telling everybody & their mama about your new 
, take steps to own it.

3rd and final point. Notice how we can ALL SEE THE OWNER OF THE TRADEMARK AND THEIR ADDRESS.
A lot of y’all doing this on your own are including your whole ass home address for the entire world to see.
Get a business address. Use Regus or something.
