hustling so hard (2 FT jobs) to make my masters happen. & at the end of it, i won’t be saying yes to any work for free bc my education, my art, sweat, tears, time + most importantly my mental health, all the sacrifices haven’t been for free. ‘pay to play’ will need to piss off.

asking for my ‘time’ for free will need to piss off, too.

people don’t realise how much creatives put in to create work that then gets exploited for the sake of ‘exposure’. take your exposure elsewhere pls.

my degree hasn’t even started + i feel burned out just trying to put funds together for it. not to mention everything else that comes w/ it.

every min of my time is occupied w/ how to put every bit of money together. on top of creating work + having other life commitments, too.

this may come across as arrogant outlook to some people + fine, they can think that way. but believe me when i say this, this is not arrogance. this is me valuing myself as a person, as an artist, my art + mental health.

simply, i want to be paid for my work.
