As a disabled woman I publicly talk about sexual violence & the harassment I experience.

This means I am concerned about my safety if people know my exact location or regularly visited areas.

If you see me out & about, do say hi but please don't post details of where you saw me
It's lovely to chat to people who I bump into about my activism & of course @GuideDogAva

Unfortunately, I do experience threats of violence as a result of my campaigning & public profile.

So if you would like to post about us meeting, please use vague terms like 'local area'.
This is a very awkward thing to talk about. I absolutely do not want to appear like some kind of 'influencer diva', but it is about my personal boundaries outside of my public facing activism.

Being a woman with a profile on the internet can be scary so help me stay safe.
I love my community & all the support you give me.

It is so lovely & a bit overwhelming that people want to come up & say hello to me because they follow me or saw me on TV.

I really enjoy these conversations & what people share with me about their own experiences too.
Trust me I'm under no delusions that I'm a Hollywood Superstar but I'm a fairly distinctive plus size blind blonde lady attached to a golden retriever.

I want to keep talking about these issues, but to do so I need people to understand the precautions I need to take.

Thank you!
