maybe this is obvious and I was just completely clueless, but I had no idea that Medicare isn't free. I had no idea that unless you pay, you won't get access to basic care and medication

I also had no idea until 2 weeks ago that they'd take that payment out of my monthly disability benefits.
so now I'm nearly $200 short of bill money that I needed every penny of every month.
and idk what to do.
I'm thankful for both... SSDI and Medicare... but fuck.
