It is International Workers' Memorial Day today #IWMD21

An estimated 50,000 people die each year in Britain from work-related illness or injury. With Covid, the toll is likely higher. We remember them all and the importance of safety at work.

Some ideas to mark the day🧵:
Find an event near you. There are plenty of local wreath-laying events and online zoom calls taking place today and into this evening remembering workers who have lost their lives locally: https://www.tuc.org.uk/iwmd-events  #IWMD21
Join us for the TUC's national Workers' Memorial Day zoom call today at 2pm, with @sharanburrow, @FrancesOGrady, @AndyMcDonaldMP, @ApsanaBegumMP https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_uEKzShAsR3SIcNowyzTwEQ #IWMD21
Pay tribute to a worker who lost their life, or read and share their stories.
