I get why Dev is called selectively supportive. There were many times he faltered & failed to keep his promise cuz he was written as this extreme guy who had this toxic co-dependency with his mom. And the fact that he was constantly guilt tripped by his family made it worse (1/4) https://twitter.com/SillyyetSkilly/status/1387098098720141312">https://twitter.com/SillyyetS...
The reason why this comparison sounds off is cuz most of Dev& #39;s mistakes were in character & he always paid for it. He wasn& #39;t given anything on a silver platter. He even had to work hard to get his daughter to call him & #39;papa& #39;. (2/4)
He apologized & made up for everything (even when he wasn& #39;t at fault). It& #39;s probably why he is special. Not cuz he is the perfect dream guy. It& #39;s cuz he is a really well written male lead who actually had a point of view and journey which is so rare on TV. (3/4)
Virat on the other hand is just a badly written run of the mill inconsistent ML who flips as per what the track demands https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="😂" title="Gesicht mit FreudentrĂ€nen" aria-label="Emoji: Gesicht mit FreudentrĂ€nen"> (4/4)

P.S. I know the tweet is not looking for an essay but I couldn& #39;t resist https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="đŸ€Ł" title="Lachend auf dem Boden rollen" aria-label="Emoji: Lachend auf dem Boden rollen">
