Just finished watching Captain USA and the Frozen Warrior, and the last episode is actually as good as one can hope for. The Not Handsome Enough Cap gets a happy end of sorts, the Token Cap is promoted to Almost White Man, and the Nazi (my fave!) has a Pushkin book in his cell!

I want a show dedicated entirely to the Nazi. Also, the French Karate Kid was amazing and should have stayed alive.

For those curious, Alexander Pushkin was a black man who invented Russian literature. All of it, singlehandedly. Alexander Pushkin was the OG Captain Russia, our greatest poet, and unambiguously black.
Shot dead by a white officer, of course.

I am not exaggerating or joking. Before Pushkin came along in the early XIX c, Russian literature consisted entirely of drunken screaming, bears growling in the distance and yellow signatures in the snow.
Pushkin created literary Russian of sublime beauty and elegance, by himself

His poetry and his effortlessly masterful command of the language were of such transcendent quality, that even now, 200 years later, people quote him in everyday speech without knowing they are quoting him. He is our Shakespeare. But black.
