HOW TO BUY J.LEAGUE FOOTBALL SHIRTS - thread:
I ship J.League shirts to the world - many references, no complaints! Due to rising interest, questions, here is a thread to explain what I can do to help you. Sit down - it's not cheap. But worth it in the end, and I am efficient :-)
I order / buy shirts for YOU at retail price (shown clearly to you if you do not know, or check yourself, then ask me to buy it!) plus 3200 yen (covering Paypal fees, exchange rate losses, my time/effort - Japanese sites are often irritating - and Japanese!!).
FULL total cost agreed in advance, then paid by you pre-order (usually), deposits also accepted. Paypal will always protect you, and I will always refund if shirt is unavailable for any reason.
I ship by DHL at 2600 yen worldwide. Extra shirts can be combined, case by case.
Japanese shirts are not cheap, and often very limited. Prepare to be disappointed, and to spend too much! Then a shirt is really appreciated on arrival!!
Example (and some links coming, too).
Shirt cost ¥12000, "commission" 3200, DHL postage 2600 = TOTAL ¥17800.
Nameset (name and number) always extra if needed, fixed prices that can also be seen and agreed in advance. lesser-known players / teams harder to get and may delay (sometimes 4-6-8 weeks!) but will do my best and usually know in advance what's available.
Thread so far is for new shirts, usually ordered at KAMO Soccer Shop web site (or picked up in person). Link example:
https://www.sskamo.co.jp/s/g/gCV9237-687/
Kashima Antlers replica shirt ¥14300 (plus 3200 plus 2600) = total inc. shipping ¥20,100.
If name-set needed (no commission) add ¥3850
Note that sizes in Japan have historically been smaller than over seas, and XL did not exist as such. Bigger shirts are O XO 2XO etc. (sizes S M L O XL 2XO). Recently some brands have become "standard" or at least bigger. (Always go be measurements to be sure)
Puma (Frontale, Cerezo, S-Pulse, Trinita, Jubilo) offer up to 4XL now. And have dropped O XO etc. and have standard XL, 2XL, etc. Measurements usually available on web sites, check/use google translate, etc. and get it right.
NOTES: in Japan there are often standard versions (known as "REPLICA" in Japan) and player version ("AUTHENTIC") which is a little different from some countries (where replica means copy, authentic means real!). The authentic version is expensive, and amazing to wear (usually!).
Note - I also source / sell USED shirts. Send your size, era, maker, team, BUDGET, condition, etc, and you may get a bargain, a collector's item, or something you like cheaper (not necessarily, though!) than a new shirt! Ask for my DropBox link that is updated with used shirts)
EXAMPLE: Cerezo Osaka 2021 home:
https://www.sskamo.co.jp/s/g/g921417-71/
Shirt ¥16500 commission 3200 DHL postage 2600 = 22300 yen.
Add one digit name-set 3700, two digit name-set 4400.
NOTE - especially pre-season (plan for 2022!) shirts are pre-ordered and take 4-6 weeks depending when ordered. Many are very limited and a second wave of orders available but takes another two months. 2021 shirts are mostly currently in stock and ready to go ...
Order a 2021 shirts and many are ready to be collected / shipped to me (included in your price total) so please do not hesitate to ask about 2021 shirts after reading this thread. Older shirts / used shirts? Please send details and we can discuss!
Some 2020 shirts may be available (unusual not to sell out, but 2020 was a strange season where football shirts were not a priority!), ask me!
Note - this is NOT really a business. I'm a collector, a J.League fan, editor of JSoccer Magazine, and have always tried to help fans ...
My aim through JSoccer Magazine and this account is to promote the game (and the shirts) I love. 3200 yen is hardly worth the time and effort made to do this but I enjoy it and as noted, my aim is to grow J.League!
I aim to also ensure you do not pay import duty!
I declare shirts as "polyester t-shirts" value $10-15 and am told this pretty much pays the 3200 yen off in not paying import duties. I'm also told my service works better than "proxy buying" companies as they always declare at full value and duties always added.
For customs purposes I can take off tags (ship separately if ended in a letter), package to look cheap (but come carefully!) and all but ensure no duty is paid. This in one thing that many buyers have benefitted from. The 3200 yen "commission" is a bargain in the end!
So, if YOU need a J.League shirt, do not hesitate to DM me and I will do my best. Please understand that they are expensive, many are almost impossible to get and the 3200 yen ($30?) charged covers a lot, and is well worth it in the end.
Used shirts? Ask for the DropBox link!
Also please check timeline (tweets / threads) for many J.League shirts available (if sold, usually marked as sold) and feel free to ask others about me!
If YOU bought a shirt, feel free to say nice things under this thread :-)
I hope this thread will help YOU get what you need!
