'My office reached out to Senate Prez @FannKfann & outlined a list of security measures that were the bare minimum of what we hoped would be in place to protect the security of these ballots/equipment,' @SecretaryHobbs says. 'We have gotten no assurances these would be followed.'

'Obviously, as we're watching this play out in front of us, a lot of these things are not being followed,' @SecretaryHobbs says. 'And I think that a lot of the security concerns that Arizonans rightfully have are not being taken seriously by the folks conducting this exercise.'

Ultimately, @SecretaryHobbs says, 'it's clear now there's really nothing valid that's going to come out of this exercise.'

'They're on a fishing expedition to find something ... that proves there was something wrong with the election. We know they're not going to find that.'

'All this is going to do is continue to undermine voters' confidence in the process,' @SecretaryHobbs says. 'There's nothing about this that is going to ease voters' concerns that have been, really, created by these same politicians who have continued to promote the big lie.'

'I keep thinking we're done with it (covering #azaudit), and then the next day, something gets even weirder about it,' @maddow says, after wrapping up with @SecretaryHobbs.
