"My primary reason for refusing the vaccine is much simpler: I dislike the people who want me to take it, and it makes them mad when they hear about my refusal. That, in turn, makes me happy." (This is who we have devolved to) https://amgreatness.com/2021/04/26/i-wont-take-the-vaccine-because-it-makes-liberals-mad/">https://amgreatness.com/2021/04/2...
This is a completely understandable, and infantile sentiment. I, too, do not want to be told what to do. But, I also acknowledge that when people like public health professionals explain it to me, I accept their training, and schooling and do what experts say.
I am not so arrogant to say that because I have an english degree, I am going to deny the credentialling of my friend @LauraScud , and all the hard work she did to become an expert.
Like I tell her, if she wants to talk about post Civil War American poetry, I am rather competent, or in 1997 I had completed a comprehensive reading of the large pieces of criticism of Jackson Pollock.
But, I do not know anything about DNA or whatever they make vaccines out of. So, I know people who worked their whole lives to do stuff. My childhood best friend Sean does things that I do not even know how to google. But, it is science.
The entitlement of simply rejecting this all because he wants to annoy people, that amazes me. ANd I know I am giving him exactly what he wants by doing this thread. But man.
