🧑‍🎹At age 16 she started modelling for Henri Matisse.

“The Velvet Robe" painted in 1942 is an illustration of her collaboration with him.

🧹In 1940, Eglantine registers at Fougùres in Brittany and joins the French resistance.  One of her duties was transporting dynamite between Fougùres & Nice by hiding them between two Matisse canvasses.  #eglantine #matisse

đŸ’ƒđŸ»For these trips she dressed as a very distinguished lady.  She also hid Jews in her apartment in Paris.

đŸ‘¶ has a daughter, Aline, in 1941.

đŸȘŠHer husband, Marcel Landais, dies suddenly in 1973.

đŸ—œAfter moving around a bit, Aline takes over a large apartment in New York and has her mother, Eglantine, move there in 1974. 

đŸ„Eglantine helped Aline in the "La Rousse" restaurant that she owned from 1979 to 1983.  The restaurant was famous for its pastries.  #eglantine
