Listening to the latest serious inquiries only with @seriouspod , mentioned being anti military. While I agree in part, I’m also very pro veteran. Distinguishing the difference might be difficult for some, but it’s not for me. 1/
I’m a veteran, of 11 years, I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned that in all my years of tweeting. I currently work at a Veterans Administration Medical Center, and have been for over 6 years. 2/
Thomas’ comment about people faking credentials makes sense to me. He said, just because people fake being veterans doesn’t mean veterans shouldn’t get their benefits. Then said the thing about listeners being against the military. 3/
I agree that the US military has alot to answer for, and must be re-evaluated. This thread isn’t about the difference in rights or benefits ascribed to various groups of people. I agree with almost, if not all, of the piat team with regards to human rights and social justice. 4/
It just made me want to express my legitimate beliefs about the difference between supporting the military and supporting veterans. 5/
