This whole excellent thing reminded me about the time I walked with a friend along an Edinburgh canal and suddenly someone handed us a wash basket full of ducklings over a wall, to put to water. https://twitter.com/EmApocalyptic/status/1387054172659273734
Then they explained that they did this every year, find the ducklings in their garden, put them in the basket, wait for the next person to pass on the other side of the wall that neither ducklings nor people could cross, and hand them over as mother duck was watching.
So, while we were walking along, talking of melancholy life things, we became the people who this happened to. Which is a good memory. Also, ducks build nests without any care as to whether you gotta fly to get back to the water, it seems. I guess if it works once...
Sometimes someone just has your back. Even if you build silly nests annually.
Anyway read this thread it's good
