as if it hadn't been a "thing" with decades of scholarship and writing behind it beforehand but lmao aja

once upon a time i would have agreed that hope was important and a sort of core, fundamentally, to imagining any kind of radically different/better/utopian future. sure.

because i was reading shit from the 80s/90s and i was in high school. this goes without saying, and i'll shut up and just go make another drink after this, but WE ARE NOT THERE NOW and if your futures, your dystopias, your utopias haven't evolved? omg go dig a grave.
