Friends!

I'm so excited to announce my wife's new non-profit: A New Pipeline.

http://anewpipeline.org

The mission is simple: Make computer science more equitable.

(and hopefully, by extension, make the tech industry more equitable).
The program will center on providing teachers the training and materials to encourage underrepresented students in K-12 to consider careers in tech (or at least foster a love of building things).

For free.
By providing training, lesson plans, and other classroom materials to teachers for free, we can make it so much easier for teachers to make tech that much more inclusive.
Teachers will learn things like how to include underrepresented technologists in their classroom as well as how to teach students how to build equitable and accessible software.
We need your help! Your donations can go a really long way!

Traditionally, professional development can cost teachers around $1-2k. A New Pipeline will be providing this for free in order to reach as many teachers as possible. Each teacher can impact around 100 students a year!
I'm so excited about the impact we can have.
