This just in: blind software developer requests that their employer of 8 years consider accessibility when purchasing self-check out machines. Is informed mid IT DEPT meeting that the company "has considered this, and accepts the risks of being inaccessible."
@newseasons
Blind employee finds this response unacceptable, @NewSeasons. Are we or are we not the friendliest store in town? Or are we only friendly to able-bodied customers?
So let's talk about those "acceptable risks" and ask the community for feedback?
"equity and inclusion"???
Hey everyone, next time you're by a @newseasons, you should fill out a customer comment card and mention that you insist they be inclusive and accessible. Walk the walk boss.
I spoke up. You didn't listen. I'm speaking up louder. Your move.
