2/x cannot talk about it without getting emotional. We hope as meteorologists that we help people, that we are able to make a difference in a life-changing situation. And it’s an absolutely helpless feeling knowing what’s coming and that you’ve done all you can but it still won’t
3/x be enough for some people. I share this because if you’re a meteorologist, just know it’s ok to feel stress and anxiety and depression over the outcome of an event. Don’t be ashamed to ask for help if you’re struggling with it. Having compassion and empathy for those you
4/x serve only makes you better at what you do. And sometimes what we do is hard, not because of the science but because we care about people. ❤️
