Hi @newvisionwire in your agriculture features like the ones always written by Joshua Kato, I request that u help Pioneer farmers with simple agribusiness guides. E.g what input costs do I need to keep 20 milking cows on quarter an acre ? Input costs viz-viz output sales...

..The agribusiness guides could as well cover other enterprises like piggery & poultry. Quite often many agribusiness extension / speakers only highlight what the outputs will be ( gross sales ), they rarely expose much of the input side & the costs that generate those sales...

..Farming works & let's clearly demonstrate how it can indeed WORK for small starters.

At the level of @GovUganda & @Parliament_Ug we need to seriously think of how to incentivise more start-up farmers. We have more tax incentives e.g for agro-processors than at production..

..What if we legislated to exempt farming income from tax up to a threshold of about 100m a year just like income of providers of education as a service ( private schools) is exempt, this would encourage many young people to return to the farms. Putting a tax threshold is key..
