Let's clarify this a little: MXTX isn't asking you to not sell merch, her contract is telling her to tell fans to not make merch to sell. Idk if TGCF/HOB is published under the same company or not, so whether this is true or not, I have yet to confirm, but will update this thread when I find out. However, this is in fact the case for MDZS. Again, this includes the live action series The Untamed/Chen Qing Ling.

This means anything and everything you make of MDZS for profit is not legal in any way. You can, however, give them away as gifts. Commissions for an MDZS art piece are a grey area. And yes, prints are included as merch - obviously.

Update: TGCF/HOB is published by the same company known as JJXWC. Which means yes, you CAN NOT make fan merch to sell of TGCF/HOB.

Update: All three novels have officially been published under JJXWC. You CAN NOT make any and all MXTX fan merch for sale.

Im gonna add this twt to this thread because this is an actual problem. CQL is NOT exempt from the contract MXTX has for MDZS. It is an adaption from the novel.
