I’m so tired of hearing church leaders harp on and on about the importance of church growth. 🤮

Not every church needs to be a mega church.

Small churches aren’t necessarily unhealthy churches.

There’s more to being a pastor than nailing a three-point sermon week after week.
Just listened to a pastor tell a group of pastors that they should all be working hard to make their churches grow, and I think that is a huge pile of horse 💩.
A pastor’s success or failure is not contingent on how many butts are in the pews.

If you ask me, basing the health of your church on its attendance is dangerous. It’s a false metric.

The health of a church is more nuanced than numbers on a spreadsheet.
If you can’t handle this tension, then it’s possible you may not have what it takes to be a pastor.

You might be a really great PERSONALITY, but the role of a pastor is a sacred duty whose value can’t be expressed by baptism numbers and Twitter followers.
