YouTube loves to say things like "we reduced our borderline content by 70% last year," without acknowledging what qualifies as borderline content and how they measure it
To be a meaningful metric, they need to give us specifics on a) how it's defined (beyond just "close to crossing the line"), b) how it's measured and identified in practice, and c) how it gets decreased
Otherwise, it's as if they decided a certain number of videos were "purple content" and told us "purple content" simply consists of all of the content that includes purple, and don't worry, purple content has decreased a specific amount
Like ok, do you mean content that has purple hues in it? If so, how are you defining that? Or do you mean people who say the word "purple"? What about the people who allude to purple things like grapes but don't show them directly? Are these all the same category?
And how do you "decrease" it? Do you make content creators remove those specific references and re-upload? Do you take down the entire videos? Do you demonetize creators? Do you demonetize specific videos? Do you take down entire creator channels?
Apologies for the silly analogy; I am currently eating grapes
