how to tell if someone is faking having DID — a thread.
it isn't up to you to decide who's faking or not — especially if you're a singlet. people's cases differ. and if someone seems to be faking it, don't sit there and make an entire callout about how they are, because chances are they aren't.
there are exceptions, of course! some people explicitly fake things like DID, and it's obvious — especially when they tell someone they are. faking DID (or any illness in general) is NOT okay. having physical and mental disabilities isn't fun, and faking them is horrible.
educate yourself! instead of reading carrds, ask a system who's comfortable with it. while it's okay to ask, don't be annoying or weird about it. people with things like DID, OSDD, etc are people, too. don't bombard them with so many questions at once, and even if they chose to+
answer your questions, they may not have an answer or want to answer every one of them!
systems, promote yourself under this tweet and i'll rt as i can!!
