The good thing about seo over Facebook and co is that you don't pay everyday to get new customers.

New customers come to you almost automatically on Google seo unlike Facebook and co in which you have to hunt for customers

And also with the new updates on Facebook and the war with iPhone sales might get tougher to get on fb and so on
