Did you guys know that the Bakusquad forming is almost entirely Dekus fault and Deku has no idea?

The Bakusquad started their formation at the sports festival all because of Bakugo’s obsessive rivalry with Deku

If Deku hadn’t been there Bakugo would have of course still given it his all, but he wouldn’t have been manic about it.
Bakugo was honestly pretty calm collected(by Baku standards) until Deku won the obstacle race

After that he was obviously blood lusting

Kirishima used that to his advantage to get Bk to team up with him during the cavalry battle, and the rest of the squad(minus Kami) joined their team

(who know what team up he may have gotten if Kiri hadn’t gotten that clue in)

Kaminari gets his moments to shine siting in the stands with Baku to watch Deku compete

It’s after Kami points out Deku used the same move on Shinso that he used against Baku during the mock villain training.
That’s when the infamous “Dunce Face” line was born

And Bakugo only goes completely batshit against Todo because Deku got him to use his fire(he’s an honorary member of the Bsquad fight me)

At that point almost no one even /knew/ he had a duel quirk, so without Deku Baku conceivably could have enjoyed his victory

In fact the entire reason Todo moves from being on Bk’s radar to being followed by a heat seeking middle is because during the festival Todo singled Deku out as his main competitor and that had Katsuki seeing red(to the point of literal stalking)

Without Deku this entire domino effect falls apart, so who knows how long it’d take for them reach out to Bakugo

Especially considering that fact Bakugo may have enjoyed his victory had Deku not exposed Todo. A peaceful win means he wouldn’t have been chained up, so he probably wouldn’t have gotten kidnapped

No kidnapping- no rescue team- no Kiri reaching out and Baku accepting- no Baku reaching out to Kami to help him cheer up the class- no class bonding around Bakugo and his well being or even seeing how far someone would be willing to go for the loudmouth

So not only does Deku’s mear presence and persistence in calling him Kacchan make Bakugo seem more approachable, but he has inadvertently sparked his strongest friendships
