We adapted Safety Check to enhance its acceptability as a universal suicide prevention strategy in pediatric primary care. Some highlights. 1) We used ADAPT-ITT to engage in a systematic, iterative, stakeholder-driven process to amplify the voice of firearm owner stakeholders.

2) We crowdsourced names/logos and used best worst scaling to generate the most acceptable name and logo from hundreds of firearm-owning and non firearm-owning parents. This is a cool method we will definitely use again.

3) We think the study provides a methodological roadmap for applying an established adaptation method that can guide future programming related to firearm safety as well as other sensitive health topics.
