i’ve been seeing a lot of like joke threads of this but like genuinely here’s how to support smaller streamers bc yeah
1. if you find a streamer you really enjoy watching PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE hop onto their streams, recommend them to friends, if you’re comfy w it engage in chat
2. if you’re active in chat i’ve always found it really cool when people ask questions or in general interact w the streamer! which is super easy if they’re smaller :)
3. do NOT feel obligated to sub, donate, or give bits, i swear you just being there and hanging out it enough 99.9% of the time
4. kinda twitch etiquette 101 but don’t bring up other streamers no matter the size unless the streamer does it themselves
5. i’ve had it happen a few times that people come in after some sort of like, for example, DSMP lore stream, and a lot of streamers are chill w you mentioning that you came from there, but like before unless it becomes the convo just leave it at that
6. don’t be creepy please, being a smaller streamer, we see EVEYRTHING y’all send. we don’t get the luxury of missing messages, so please just don’t cross basic boundaries
7. i see a lot of people wanting a smaller poc, lgbtq+, fem, or trans creator to gain notoriety in the mc community especially, but we need to remember that within your guys’ community here on twt and tiktok, y’all can do SO MUCH. if you think a streamer deserves attention?
GO PROMO THEM. tell friends, mutuals, anyone, scream into the void. mcyttwt has the ability to trend stuff w zero effort, use it for good things <3
8. i’ve only seen this a little but don’t beg for mod or vip, if a smaller streamer needs one they will do it themselves or offer it
that’s really all but yeah, you guys on mcyttwt and tiktok are absolutely bonkers and you guys have the power to boost up creators very easily so do it!
