thread on an in-depth look into kamisato ayaka and her character since you’re all sleeping on her

ayaka is not a leaked character she appeared in the genshin beta, in trailers and in promotional art but this will contain spoilers for her voice lines and other appearances she has in the game

first of all who is ayaka ? her full title is “Master of Inazuma Kamisato Katana Jitsu - Kamisato Ayaka” and her houses full name is “Inazuma Bakufu Shabukyo Kamisato” .

we know she is the princess of her household and that she has a brother named ayato .

from her voice lines it’s clear her house has a close relationship with baal but ayaka won’t give away her secrets of her house so easily ... she wants the traveler to find that out on their own why? we don’t know yet

ayaka is a master in all creative arts , she can sing , dance , write and recite poetry and play various instruments. she is very well versed and talented she even does a fan dance for you on your birthday!

however despite how ayaka looks on the outside she has a secret about what she really wants in life. she talks about wanting to dream past her duties but she knows that they’ll never come true so she doesn’t reveal them to the traveler

in her final ascension line she talks about how she fears abandonment and loneliness the most in life... she gets sad when thinking that the traveler will leave her like everyone else although she knows she shouldn’t be upset and quickly dusts off her own emotions

it’s clear ayaka is going through a lot and that’s even more clear when she talks about her brother ayato . they are very very different. ayato is described to get into fights and be generally aggressive to others. even though he left ayaka she still loves him the same

ayaka is genuinely worried for her brothers saftey since she doesn’t know where he is. she doesn’t blame him for his troubles and tries to help him in anyway she can . she knows the burden that is laying on him is great and often feels her herself is only adding to that burden

this comes back to ayaka’s feeling of abandonment. her brother obviously left her, without telling her where she went and now she feels even more alone than she was before. she’s confused on her role in life and doesn’t think her own dreams and ambitions are important

despite ayakas troubled life she still is kind to everyone around her. she takes great joy in her friends such as sayu , tohama and yoimiya. it seems they are all able to make her laugh in one way or another and generally distract her from her troubled life

another thing that i and many others noticed is that ayaka has in fact been writing to someone from inazuma and we have all come across these letters they are the bottles in dragonspine that we find.

though it’s unclear who she is writing to, it has to be between scaramouche and ayato considering they are the only two characters from inazuma that are “missing” . it’s really up to your interpretation but i’d suggest looking into the scaramouche being baal’s brother theory

i won’t get too into the letters as it’s up to your interpretation although since the notes talk about inazuma and all the other evidence i’ve provided before they are most likely from ayaka and she’s reaching out for someone she lost early in her life as described

i have some theories on who it is but i won’t get into it. although it seems she clings to the past and to a time where she felt happier in her life and when things were easier for her... she longs for this person to write back but it seems they never will

so in conclusion: kamisato ayaka is a talented young woman who is second in line to rule over her household. she is a master in all creative arts and has a love for everything and everyone around her but she is hiding a secret from everyone, that is she longs for something more

she dreams of a world where she’s not tied down by her duties and her loneliness. where she can be free and happy like she once was... everything in her life is unclear and she struggles with her self worth and place in this world she doesn’t feel like she deserves what she has

still she wishes she would never be alone. she clings to any companionship after her brother and lost friend both abandoned her. yet she doesn’t hold any resentment towards them and just wants to know if they are okay. she deals with a lot but she is still willing to

give every opportunity and challenge that comes her way her all. although shes lonely and feels everyone will leave her eventually she truly cares for the traveler and happily calls them her friend and wishes they would never leave like everyone else has
