What's the difference between $ID and $SATA?
This gets asked a lot, so it's worth explaining in detail how we're different (a thread):

At the core of their platform, Everest are really focused on the Identity creation, management, and authentication components. E.g. establish an identity with their service, undergo KYC/AML, and use it with their wallet and other integrations.
How is $SATA different? Well identity creation and management are just the beginning of the lifecycle. We're focused on taking Decentralized IDs (DIDs), including those that might be created by $ID, and adding delegation and enforcement of rights to those identities.
So in some ways like OIDC tokens, but incorporating the value-add of systems like NFTs on the blockchain as a means to create rights for access/proof of KYC completed, and then reading and enforcing those within systems.
And when it comes to identities in use online, $ID seems to be more focused on the establishment of singular identities that you use across multiple systems. We instead want to create private personas that are generated dynamically depending on the context you're working in.
DIDs in use (especially once associated with bearing valuable rights) are extremely valuable to theft, so we will leverage modern key storage mechanisms including #Yubikeys and other hardware so people can physically protect themselves and sleep easier at night.
