The Ford government's paid sick leave proposal is the best option. If you start from the premise that you do not want to place additional burden on business at this time, expanding a federal program is the best and FASTEST solution.

The levers that a province has to administer something that can verify and then pay out within days/weeks vs months is non-existent. CERB is possible because the feds are able to start from the premise of trust and collect on the back-end bc they control Revenue Canada.
