you can prevent this by opening every sponsorship link in incognito with a program called "Telerik Fiddler" open, Found at https://www.telerik.com/download/fiddler, this allows you to see every website accessed. have chrome open on the left of your screen and fiddler on the right. [end of pt.1]

[pt.2] once fiddler is on the right, click on the link and monitor closely the URLs it goes through. if any of the URLs are suspicious there, do not go through it on your main, non-incognito browser. I hope this helps you. best of luck. [end of thread]
