(Cleopatra map) Why are the people who complain about this Cultural Appropriarion stuff always sjw teens thinking they're actually serving justice. On both the map call and finished map I saw people, who were Egyptian, say how much they loved the concept and saw no problems- 1/7
-with the designs. I just think this is a little ridiculous guys. The bombardment towards the animators, and the cry to "Take down the map!!" It's a bit unnecessary. But if you want to remain a sjw, I recommend you keep reading this thread 2/7
If you guys want something to scream out into the internet, maybe choose the "Don't support the artist of the song!" route. I had seen a comment on the original map call that pointed this very thing out. And everyone is so busy screaming at the participants over bs to care 3/7
All I'm sayin, is that you're gonna try to be an sjw. Maybe don't do the whole "Ah >:( these fictional cat designs culturally appropriate the Egyptian people >:(((" when there is an actual issue that can be dealt with. 4/7
And if any of you ppl try to say "oh no RedBear is a cultural appropriator" im gonna sneeze I swear to god- 5/7
Let's think abt how I obsessively researched dream catchers and where, if the was okay to have one if you're not Native American, and where to buy them so that I could support Native American creators instead of the factories owned by big ol corporations. 6/7
In summary: STOP freaking out about the cats, and participants in the Cleopatra map. DO freak out over the fact people are saying "yay new song to listen to", and that the host should put up a warning to NOT support the artist of the song. 7/7
if you would like to talk to me about it, my dms are open! I'm here to teach and learn. And in no way is my intention to do any harm! So feel free to message me
