... but apparently not to believe that Corona is deadly, except in unexamined or superficial ways.

Their actual choices suggest a radically different assessment of risk. Here I think we are at the limits of what modern propaganda can achieve.
It can convince a lot of people to act out exaggerated concern – perhaps simply by convincing them that everyone else is concerned – but their behaviour betrays a surprisingly accurate assessment of the risk posed by Corona.
Part of this must have something to do with the profound passivity encouraged by modern entertainment media.

All those polls claiming widespread support for lockdowns – politicians are probably not well advised to go on trusting them.
