10 harsh truths "Nice People" need to hear.

Written by a recovering nice guy.

Never change your mind to please someone.

You may say you agree,

But your body and tone will do all the talking.

People will sense your inauthenticity.

They& #39;ll view you as weak.
Nice does not equal virtuous.

A lot of people are "Nice" because they don& #39;t have the power to be anything else.

True virtue is possessing the strength to kill but choosing to be kind.
If you live for compliments, you& #39;ll be destroyed by criticism.
Stop waiting for people to change.

Assume they& #39;ll be like that forever.

Knowing that, could you still see them as part of your life?

If not, cut them off.

Life spent waiting is a life spent wasting.
The world doesn& #39;t care about you.

How you react to this says a lot about your character.
You don& #39;t ask, so you don& #39;t receive.

You tell yourself you don& #39;t need anything from anyone so you& #39;re not disappointed when your needs aren& #39;t met.

This is the only way to guarantee your needs won& #39;t be met.
You tolerate what you think you deserve.

If you let someone treat you like shit,

Your subconscious already believes you& #39;re shit.

Use this as a sign that you need to reflect.
Helping someone and expecting something in return isn& #39;t nice.

It& #39;s a contract.
If you care for someone, you won& #39;t try to spare their feelings by being nice.

You& #39;ll tell them the truth.

Love is prioritizing who someone could be over who someone is.

Anything else is a selfish attempt to avoid uncomfortable talks.
Being nice is not a personality trait.
