Judging from @BBCNews viewers today, it’s not quite true *no one* cares about the refurbishment of the Downing St flat & what that says about standards/integrity/transparency when it come to the PM...
Sue Hayward wrote: it does matter because I’m a council employee as a carer. Every year I have to make a declaration that I haven’t had any loans or gifts that may have a council interest . And it needs to come from the top.
Veronica Tippins wrote: as long as it’s been paid for by the PM it’s of no interest to me if it’s a late declaration or not.

Val Morgan wrote: of course I’m interested in who paid for the refurbishment of the Downing St flat. It should be transparent and honest.
Vanessa Thurlbeck wrote: I couldn’t care less who paid for BJ’s flat redecoration. He is PM - he shld have a nice flat. It doesn’t belong to him. The next holder of this office will benefit from any upgrades.
Sylvia Morgan wrote: this isn’t abt refurbishment. It’s abt integrity in public service. In my 1st local gov job aged 17, the principles of public service were emphasised. We not only had to be squeaky clean but also had to be seen to be squeaky clean. BJ shows no such integrity
Tricia Ferguson wrote: thank goodness we have Boris Johnson rolling out our vaccine programme...the flat doesn’t belong to him & at some stage wld have needed revamping anyway.
Peter Graham wrote: I am very interested in where the money came from for BJ’s flat. I resent Tory politicians telling me I’m only interested in coronavirus.
